The Two Thousand Ten's Trends

Well, hey! If you read my “About Me”, you know who I am already!

The topic I have selected for this blog is “2010-2019 Trending Fashion”. I chose this because I want to highlight this past decade’s fashion choices! This is the era I grew up in, so it really is close to my heart. I plan on collecting original materials by first and foremost, researching some of these trends, say flower crowns, and buy one from a thrift store either online or in person, and photograph me wearing it! Me and my bestfriend thrift shop exclusively, and we see stuff from the early 2010s constantly! Also, I have quite a few things from throughout the 2010s in my closet and in storage. I also plan on filming interviews with several of my peers who also grew up in this decade.

I also have some rough ideas for a couple of the unit projects! For Unit One I plan on using what is described as “Visual Storytelling”. I think it is interesting how much information you can have in just one still image. I plan on working with my friend who is a photographer. He will capture the images and I will edit it! I also have some ideas for Unit 3, which include interviews (which I mentioned above). I plan on surveying several of my peers on this topic, and possibly starting a poll on different trends. This will help me see which trends really stood out and which trends people were not a huge fan of. I used to want to be the host of a radio show when I was a little girl, so this should be interesting!

I have done quite a bit of research on this topic already, because it sparks interest in me. There are many sites which have articles dedicated to this topic.I have listed three inspiring sites about this topic below!
